I couldn't wait for this book to hit my Kindle! With eager anticipation, I highlighted each episode (color coded because I'm anal that way) to read to my husband when he got home from work.
Note to other readers, should you read these episodes to your hardworking husband while he is sitting down to relax with a hot cup of coffee... after a hard day's work, be prepared to clean up coffee, because he is going to choke and spit coffee everywhere, including out his nose. Which, my dogs thought was code for Daddy wants kisses and a tongue bath. My husband and I laughed until we cried, and our sides hurt and then we laughed some more. I think we’ve also added some new dirty words to our love language.
This is one of the most real, raw looks at married life, in its most base form between a husband and wife. It isn’t a look one gets often, as most of us rarely share the more intimate banter between husband and wife with the outside world. Thanks to Barbara Blue, we get to not only laugh with her and her husband, but in my case with my own spouse.. because life is hard enough, and thankfully humor lifts some of those burdens.

Some definite laugh out loud funny and phrases only guys can come up with...insert eye roll. I know I said insert I can hear the comebacks already.

I laughed throughout this book! I even did the snort laugh in a hair salon! Barbara gives us a peek into her conversations with her husband. And some of these you will probably relate to as far as being in a similar situation! Grab this book. You will laugh until you cry or wet yourself l lol.

This speaks to my soul in a way not many books do . They say laughter is the best medicine and I laughed my booty off throughout the whole read. I won't call this a collection of anything specific as its not mine to label , I will say it's utterly delightful. The crazy day to day banter and real life situations had me smiling like a loon. Not to mention the chemistry between this real or not real couple , they are incredible and so witty ! I loved every minute of "TMHS" !!!
Five Zillion Million Stars!
Ok a PSA warning..If your easily offended, do not like to talk/read about sex, don't like the word ya'all , a grammar nazi, or uptight this books is NOT for you. So first off I laughed so hard I may have had a senior moment (ya know laugh so hard ya peed). This book was grouping of tales based on the authors marriage. Yes some of the stories may be considered TMI..hell most of the book is, however you are forewarned in advance, so if it upset you..get over it. It was a light, easy and funny read. For me it was the equivalent of going to a one woman stand up comedy show. Well done Blue, cant wait for the next book.
Hilarious! Things My Husband Says is literally a collection of things the author's husband says.. and it made me lmao! There is no story line. There is no plot, just some funny dialogue between a husband and wife in every day life... but, it is a little dirty at times... my favorite. Despite all the humor and banter, you really can feel the love between these two and I'm glad that I was able to obtain a advanced copy to read and review, honestly. HOWEVER, this in no ordinary banter. I feel like I should post a meme of the guy saying 'hide yo kids, hide yo wife' because even though these are every day conversations in the author's house, it's pretty effin crazy and not for everyone.... My face is stuck on a smile and if you make it to the end of the EL James story, you'll know why. Enjoy!!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
So you see a warning for a book that says, "DO NOT READ THIS BOOK IF THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE OFFENDS YOU…” What do you do? Do you read on? Do you ignore it? Do you skip? Seriously, I want to know.
Well, for me, there was no choice. I read on and I one-clicked to preorder the book right away. Then I couldn't stand the anticipation. Especially when every time I looked on my newsfeed, there was another post about TMHS. I had a massive case of what I like to call "book whore-itis". I just had to sign-up to review.
I read, laughed, read some more, laughed a lot more, and read until I was done. My abs sure got a workout from all the laughing and I think I may have made a few people around me think I was crazy from the hysterical laughing fit I had after reading Episode 25 or it could have been that I may or may not have pushed my kid out of the way to run to the bathroom before I peed myself. *whispers* "Shhh, don't tell anyone but I'm up for Mother of the Year with that move" Hehehe.
I’ve been seen a few of these episodes that have been posted by Barbara over the last couple of years and each time I laughed hard and laughed out loud. Some of them had me laughing so hard I almost cried down my leg. Even though I’ve read some of these episodes previously, I still had the same reaction. I mean, where does he come up with the stuff that comes out if his mouth?
You know what really gets me though? It was the love you could feel behind his words. Yeah, they’re crass, gross and way out there but page after page, I felt the love that they have for each other. The ability to still be like they are after 30 years of marriage is awe-inspiring.
This was down-right bust-a-gut, side-splittingly, laugh-so-hard-you-cry-down-your-leg, flipping HI-LA-RI-OUS!!!!!!
